Lloyed Lobo, For The Calgary Herald, Published: Monday, May 21, 2012 Lloyed Lobo of the Calgary Herald recently interviewed Genesis President and CTO, Stephen Cooke.  They discussed  entrepreneurships and high tech start-ups in Canada, and talk about DSL Rings technology in the Telecoms industry.

The application that Genesis made to the TSB for a SMART grant towards the development of its DSL Rings system products was successful and the TSB has confirmed that Genesis will receive a grant of $400,000/£250,000.

Earlier this month AT&T Chairman & CEO, Randall L. Stephenson announced that AT&T has been unable to find a viable rural broadband solution.  More and more Telco’s are now realising the significant cost of a rural fibre solution cannot be justified.

Due to recent expansion of the development team and the need for a good demonstration facility, Genesis relocated to a new larger office on January 2nd this year.
